The purpose of the project was to relieve the unemployed men’s inner sadness, emptiness and frustration. We held various art workshops to incorporate their potentials other than their business sense to make different types of crafts. It was also a way to get them ready to step back into society by teaching them artistic knowledge and vocational training, which furthermore may help in solving their acute financial crisis due to their unemployment status.

We were glad that the workshops turned out really well and the impact was very notable. The men enjoyed themselves so much in the process and were all satisfied with their spiritual and financial needs. In fact the program has somehow remarkably changed their focus of life as well by leading them into more artistic paths instead of solely moneymaking. They became fond of calligraphy and making sculpture. They all learned that art could help them to express their feelings. On top of that they learned to display, unleash, and relinquish their anger against the unfairness of society.
