Grandpa Grandma Silver Strand Gala “Self-healing Expressive Art Workshop” is a multimodal expressive art event specially for the elders with early dementia. Taking place at the Methodist Epworth Neighborhood Elderly Centre, Chai Wan, it is a collaborative project between “Art for All” and Department of Applied Social Studies of the City University of Hong Kong, aiming to promote social, physical and mental engagement of the elders and to instill hope for both elders and their family members. Quantitative and qualitative data will be collected and a handbook on using Self-healing Expressive Art will be compiled by project end. The project is supported by the Ho Cheung Shuk Yuen Charitable Foundation.
