Mission and Story

Mission Statement

Art for All is a non-profit Community Art Charitable Organization founded back in 2001 which aims at assisting socially underprivileged people – including those who are (publicly) deprived of the opportunities to encounter arts due to different social, economical or physical limitations. Art for All continues to facilitate the targeted audience groups to recognize and stimulate their creative potentials, to develop their confidence, and (to) encourage their integration towards the public community.

背景 Background

Evelyna Liang was a local pioneer of Community Arts during the late 1980s. She gathered fellow artists and students to work with Vietnamese asylum seekers, the hospitalized and various underprivileged communities, and finally founded Art for All in 2001.

Since then, Art for All has merged high quality Community Art programme with social service, engaging in innovative ways with the community and igniting their potential for transformation, building up individuals and knitting communities.

As our Art Facilitation methods matured in 2006, we began to train local and mainland artists, students, nursing staff, social workers and educators. We are also involved in academic researches, sharing our findings in overseas conference hosted by organizations such as the UNESCO. Past and current partners include overseas, local and mainland organizations, businesses, government, cultural and education institutions.
